Ground Down to Rise Up: Balancing the Root Chakra
Program Description
Ground Down to Rise Up: Balancing the Root Chakra
The Root Chakra, located at the base of the spine, is responsible for our sense of security, grounding, and connection to the physical world. When this chakra is imbalanced, we may experience feelings of fear, anxiety, instability, and a lack of trust.
When balanced, this chakra allows us to feel solid and secure in our place within the world. It then becomes a basis from which all of the other chakras arise, supporting our emotional strength, so that we can trust ourselves and our abilities. A calm and steady mind encourages us to feel safe, connected, and resilient.
In this two-hour workshop, Sharyn Hahn, RYT-500/C-IAYT, will guide participants in exploring the philosophy, anatomy, and energetic connections of the Root Chakra. Through a combination of yoga postures, mudras, mantras, breathwork, and meditation, attendees will learn practical techniques to cultivate a sense of grounding and stability. Self-study and journaling will be integrated into the session, providing a deeper understanding of how to release fear and create inner security.
Participants will also engage in a creative project designed to enhance self-reflection and reinforce the practice of balancing the Root Chakra. To further support this experience, chakra-balancing snacks, including red fruits and chocolate-covered red cherries, will be provided to nourish and ground the body.
All levels of yoga are welcome!
