Integral Yoga Institute of New York (IYINY) welcomes presenters who align with our mission of sharing authentic and transformational teachings. These guidelines outline expectations and responsibilities to ensure a harmonious and professional experience for both presenters and the IYINY community.
1. No Cancellation Policy
Integral Yoga Institute of New York (IYINY) follows a No Cancellation policy. Due to an observed trend of lower pre-registrations and an increase in walk-in participants, we do not guarantee a minimum number of attendees for any program. Presenters should be prepared to offer their workshop regardless of pre-registration numbers.
2. Staff and Volunteer Participation
IYINY reserves the right to allow staff members and volunteer teachers to attend programs at no cost or at a discounted rate. Additionally, program presenters and teacher trainers acknowledge that IYINY may offer discounts at its discretion for any program, course, or Teacher Training program offered at the Institute. These discretionary discounts ensure accessibility and support the growth of our community while maintaining the integrity of the offerings.
3. Media & Recording Policy
To respect the privacy of all participants, personal video recording, audio recording, and photography of attendees during workshops are strictly prohibited.
Integral Yoga Institute New York (IYINY) reserves the right to record certain programs via Zoom for archival, educational, or promotional purposes. If a session is recorded, participants will be notified in advance. Any publicly shared recordings will focus on the presenter and program content, ensuring participant confidentiality unless explicit consent is given.
By participating as a Presenter, you grant IYINY and its representatives permission to record video and take photographs/screenshots of you and your materials in connection with the program. IYINY reserves the right to use these materials, with or without your name, for lawful promotional purposes, including publicity, advertising, and online content.
4. Insurance Requirement
Presenters are required to maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance, which includes coverage for bodily injury, property damage, products and completed operations, and advertising liability. This policy must also include contractual liability coverage that insures the Presenter’s activities.
5. Release and Indemnification
The Presenter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless IYINY from any claims, liabilities, or damages that may arise from their program, including but not limited to the use or misuse of their content by participants. This indemnification extends to cover court costs and reasonable attorney’s fees, if applicable.
Additionally, the Presenter agrees to deliver their program professionally and in alignment with the values and standards upheld by IYINY.
6. Independent Contractor Status
This agreement does not establish an employment relationship between IYINY and the Presenter. The Presenter is and shall remain an independent contractor and affirms that they conduct similar programs outside of IYINY.
7. Tax & Payment Requirements
All presenters receiving payments from IYINY must fill out and submit a 1099 form for tax purposes. Payments cannot be processed without this completed form. If you have any questions regarding tax documentation, please reach out to our administrative team
8. Presenter Accommodations & Hospitality
Housing at IYINY may be offered on a case-by-case basis for presenters who are invited from outside of New York and do not have local accommodations. This must be arranged in advance and is not guaranteed.
Food is not provided, but presenters will have access to the common kitchen space to store and prepare their own meals. If a meal is being provided as a special exception, it must be arranged ahead of time within an agreed-upon budget.
Presenters are responsible for their own transportation unless otherwise arranged.
For multi-day programs, presenters may arrive one day before their scheduled program and depart the day after, unless otherwise discussed.
