September 11th Remembrance: Yoga Practices and Community
Program Description
September 11th Remembrance: Yoga Practices and Community
On the 25th anniversary of the day that changed our city and country, let’s move the grief and share the love as we reconnect in community. In chairs or on cushions, we will practice restorative yoga, chanting, breathwork and meditation. We will create a shared temporary altar where you are invited to bring an object, a photo, a written piece, even a flower, for personal and shared contemplation. This will be a time of remembrance and gratitude, sweetly holding the memories of the people, places, organizations and communities we loved and lost. We will end with a brief meditation on embracing a future of love and light.
