Tending the Heart Center: Yin Yoga and Meditation as Hrdaya Sadhana

Tending the Heart Center: Yin Yoga and Meditation as Hrdaya Sadhana with Jayadevi, E-RYT 500

Saturday, February 13 • 2:00–3:30 p.m.

In Sanskrit, the word ‘hrdaya’ refers to both the physical heart and the seat of consciousness, it is our center of being. ‘Sadhana’ is daily spiritual practice, our efforts to align with the divine essence that resides within us. Through hrdaya sadhana, we can remove obstructions and clear the pathways to accessing the spiritual heart center. Guided practice will lead you on an inward journey to the heart of awareness, connecting to the source of loving presence. When we abide in our essence-nature, we experience the blossoming of acceptance, compassion, tenderness, and love. As we learn to cultivate these qualities within ourselves, we become able to express them through our interactions with others, like the petals of a lotus flower unfolding to share its radiance with the world.
