Book Party with FREE Book: Unbecoming: A Memoir of Disobedience with Anuradha Bhagwati
Wednesday, April 24 • 6:30–8:30 p.m.
The founder of Yoga for Vets NYC and a Marine Corps veteran, Anuradha Bhagwati brought national attention to sexual violence in the military and helped overturn the ban on women in combat. Her new memoir, Unbecoming: A Memoir of Disobedience, chronicles her journey from dutiful daughter of immigrants to Marine and radical activist effecting historic policy reform for servicewomen. Join us for a lively and timely conversation between the author and IYI’s general manager, Chandra/Jo Sgammato, as we celebrate the publication of her book. The first 50 people who register will receive a FREE copy of Unbecoming. Light refreshments will be served.
