Integral Yoga Intermediate Level II Teacher Training

The Intermediate Teacher Training course provides you with the opportunity to upgrade your teaching skills, deepen your practice, and expand your service by learning how to teach an Integral Yoga Level II class. Intermediate asanas and variations are presented, as well as intermediate pranayama practices. Study of the Bhagavad Gita is also included, to strengthen your grounding in the universal teachings of Yoga for personal development and further your understanding. This is a wonderful way to meet and spend time with other Integral Yoga teachers, to share experiences and ideas, and to find creative solutions to problems encountered in teaching.

Curriculum
Daily sessions will include pranayama, silent meditation, chanting, and other Yoga-based spiritual practices. The curriculum will consist of

  • Guidance in your personal Yoga practices
  • Monitored teaching practice
  • Details and guidance for teaching Level II
  • Optional poses for this level
  • A course in the Bhagavad Gita with Swami Asokananda
  • Further study of pranayama and meditation practice and theory
  • Anatomy and physiology
  • Workshops on your own personal practice of asana, pranayama, and meditation

Tuition
Tuition is $1700 ($1500 for active IYINY teachers) and includes the weekend retreat with round trip transportation. A deposit of $250 is required along with the application form; the balance is due on the first day of classes. A two-installment payment plan is available for a onetime $50 fee. After the training begins, there are no refunds.

  • All yoga classes at IYI are offered free of charge to participants for the duration of the training program.
  • Teacher trainees will also receive a 10 percent discount on purchases at the Integral Yoga Shop, Integral Yoga Natural Foods and Integral Yoga Natural Apothecary, and for treatments at Integral Yoga Wellness Spa for the duration of the training program.

Weekend Retreat: April 6 at Ananda Ashram
Graduation: Saturday, April 14 • 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Prerequisite
200-hour certification (of all traditions) with a minimum of six months of teaching experience

Teacher Bios

Kali Morse, E-RYT 500, RPYT, is director of the Teacher Training programs at the New York Integral Yoga Institute. Kali’s dedication and service to the art of yoga spans 4 decades. She has taught yoga in many settings including schools, colleges, hospitals, businesses, etc. She is certified to teach Integral Hatha Levels I, II, and III, Meditation, Raja Yoga, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga, Children’s Yoga, and Therapeutic Yoga.

Rashmi Galliano, E-RYT 500, RPYT, is a certified Hatha II, and Hatha III, Gentle, and Prenatal Integral Yoga teacher and has been teaching at IYI since 2006. Dianne certified as a teacher of Prana Yoga with Jeff Migdow, M.D., through the Open Center in New York City; of Vinyasa Yoga with Stephanie Keach in Asheville, North Carolina; of Yoga Anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff at the Breathing Project in New York City; and of “Relax and Renew” Yoga through Judith Lasater. She has training in Reiki levels 1 and 2 from Tom Capshew.

SwamiAsokanandaSwami Asokananda, a monk since 1973, is one of Integral Yoga’s foremost teachers, known for his warmth, intelligence, and good humor. His teaching comes out of his own practice and experience, since he has absorbed the wisdom of his guru, Sri Swami Satchidananda, since the age of 19. While he enjoys sharing the practical wisdom of the Yogic philosophy (especially that of the great Indian scripture the Bhagavad Gita), he also loves his practice of Hatha Yoga and is one of our primary instructors for Intermediate and Advanced Hatha Yoga Teacher Training. In the past, he has served as the president of Satchidananda Ashram–Yogaville® and Integral Yoga® International; he is currently the president of the New York Integral Yoga Institute.

Jason_BrownJason Ray Brown, E-RYT 500, LMT, is a certified Yoga teacher and licensed massage therapist with a private practice on the Upper West Side. He has taught Yoga at Integral Yoga Institute, OM Yoga, Yoga Works, Pure Yoga, and Zenyasa Yoga and has led Yoga teacher trainings at OM Yoga and Zenyasa Yoga. Jason enjoys teaching anatomy for Yoga teachers and regularly leads anatomy workshops and trainings in New York and internationally. www.jasonraybrown.com
RYS200_YogaAlliance Integral Yoga Institute offers 500 hours of training in two segments, 200 hours and 300 hours, permitting teachers who graduate to become either an RYT 200 or an RYT 500, depending on the level of training completed. Our 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training program can be customized to fit your individual interests. You may select from our many graduate-level Yoga Teacher Training programs.
