Deepening Into Therapeutic Yoga is our Level II Training, open to graduates of the Therapeutic Yoga Training Program. Come learn a variety of ways to enhance and build on the skills you learned in the Therapeutic Yoga Training Level I. Finesse communication and listening skills, learn new hands on healing techniques and adjustments, and deepen your understanding and knowledge of Therapeutic Yoga to better serve the populations you work with.

Modalities include:

  • 16 new restorative yoga poses
  • Variations of poses introduced in Level I that require fewer props
  • Gentle yoga
  • Additional hands-on energy for healing and pain
  • Contract/Relax muscle energy technique
  • Techniques to increase range of motion and improve joint function
  • Interactive guided meditations for one-on-one sessions
  • Scripted meditations and suggested sequences for specific conditions (cancer, auto-immune, neurological)
  • Finesse communication and listening methods for working effectively with clients

Similar to Level I, our carefully crafted curriculum begins each morning with lectures while afternoon sessions include a demonstration of three or more poses followed by one-on-one give-and-receive sessions by the students.

The training price includes a 179 page manual full of valuable and useful information you get to take home with you.

Schedule

October 2–7, 2019 (six consecutive days)
Wednesday through Monday 10 a.m.–6 p.m.

Tuition

  • $950 when you register by September 2, 2019; $995 thereafter.
  • $150 nonrefundable deposit required upon registration.
  • $100 off if you have registered for the 2019 Therapeutic Yoga Training Level I.
  • All students who complete the course will receive certification in Therapeutic Yoga.
    If you would like a certificate for CEUs as an R.N., you must pay a $20 fee for each additional certificate. There is a $25 administration fee for re-issuing certificates at a later date.

Teacher Bios

Cheri Clampett, C-IAYT, ERYT-500 is the Founder and Director of the Therapeutic Yoga Training Program. She is a certified yoga therapist with over 25 years of teaching experience and is passionate about bringing the benefits of yoga to those recovering from or living with injury or illness. Cheri has presented Therapeutic Yoga at Beth Israel Medical Center and the Langone Medical Center at NYU. Cheri started the yoga program at the Ridley-Tree Cancer Center in 1999, where she continues to teach weekly classes. Cheri’s teaching focuses on the healing aspects of yoga: freeing the body, breath and flow of energy through practicing with awareness, compassion, and love. Cheri is the co-author of the Therapeutic Yoga Kit, published in January 2009 by Inner Traditions.

Arturo Peal, MA, (TCM), LMP, Co-Founder of the Therapeutic Yoga Training Program, is an anatomy and physiology (A&P) instructor and a certified yoga therapist. He holds a Masters Degree in Chinese Medicine, practices CranioSacral Therapy and has been involved in the “alternative” health-care field for more than 30 years. His weekly classes in Therapeutic Yoga serve students who are unable to do a traditional Vinyasa practice. He integrates his expertise in Anatomy, Kinesiology, Chinese Medicine, and the healing processes to present a multidimensional understanding of the human body. www.bodystudies.com

Integral Yoga Institute offers 500 hours of training in two segments, 200 hours and 300 hours, permitting teachers who graduate to become either an RYT 200 or an RYT 500, depending on the level of training completed. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received more than 48 hours prior to a program receive a credit minus a $10 handling fee. There are no refunds. Credits may be used for Yoga classes and programs or for purchases in Integral Yoga Shop.
