SUMMARY:Morning Practice: Four-Week Course
DESCRIPTION:Start the fall season–and your Saturday mornings–with a delightful combination of hatha and restorative poses\, guided meditations\, journaling\, sharing and connection. Daya will share the personal morning practices that have anchored her life for many years and help you go deeper into time-proven techniques including chakra meditations\, poems and readings from sacred texts. She will share a guided meditation to inspire your own journaling and writing practice. There will be time for conversation and connection. Each week will be a little different. You’ll get your Saturday off to a great start and enhance every aspect of your life. \nConsider setting up a peaceful atmosphere ahead of time to enhance this morning practice. Have yoga props and whatever you want to sit on\, facing your altar\, or anything beautiful\, with a surface available to write on. We suggest using a pen or other writing tool and a notebook or journal rather than an electronic device\, as writing by hand has been shown to add neurological benefit to journaling.

SUMMARY:The Bhagavad Gita in Daily Life
DESCRIPTION:The Bhagavad Gita\, a foundational scripture of Yoga\, provides guidance for facing the everyday challenges of modern life. Its message is that Self-realization is achieved through skillful living in the world\, not by retreating from it. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meaning from it every day. \n**This is an online series. Join one session or join all! Each week requires separate registration.**

SUMMARY:TRE® (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises)
DESCRIPTION:TRE is a simple\, gentle\, and profound technique that facilitates the lengthening and relaxation of the psoas muscle and the release of physical and emotional tension and stress. The TRE exercises mildly tire the legs\, triggering an involuntary shaking and trembling response\, which begins in the legs and often spreads throughout the body. This natural response is the nervous system’s way of discharging long-held tension and unconscious body contraction\, caused by everyday stress and traumatic life experiences\, in order to restore the body to wholeness. \nTRE was developed by Dr. David Berceli\, a bioenergetic therapist and social worker\, who used it successfully worldwide working with soldiers\, firefighters\, police officers and survivors of war\, natural disasters and other traumatic circumstances to help alleviate the many symptoms of post-traumatic stress. TRE is taught in over 60 countries worldwide. \nReported benefits include:\n\nDecreasing anxiety\nReleasing chronic tension\nDischarging emotional and physical trauma\nIncreasing energy and flexibility\nImproving sleep and mood\nDecreasing of aches\, pains and symptoms of fibromyalgia and sciatica\n\nThis workshop is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as the exercises can be modified to accommodate anybody’s need. \nFor more information about TRE please visit TREcalifornia.com. If you have any questions or concerns\, please contact maria@TREcalifornia.com. \nThis workshop takes place 11am–1pm Eastern (8–10am Pacific) \nThis is an online program.
