Rev. Bhavani MetroIntegral Yoga Minister
Rev. Bhavani is a devotee of Sri Swami Satchidananda since 1973 and an ordained Minister of Integral Yoga since 1980. Over the last 40 some years she has lived at Satchidananda Ashram serving the community in many ways. Her most notable role is matriarch of the Metro family with four generations living under the auspices of Sri Gurudev. She is a dedicated wife to Rev. Bhagavan Metro and mother of six children, grandmother of fifteen grandchildren plus 8 great grandchildren (who warm her heart with their proximity to Yogaville), and her first area of service has been to this large extended family.
Over the years, Rev. Bhavani has served on the Satchidananda Ashram Council, Vidyalayam School Board, Yogaville Community Association. Together with her husband of 57 years, Rev. Bhagavan Metro, she shares her wisdom through Satsang, inspiring talks, classes and couple’s workshops (a favorite of hers.) Her ministry has given her many opportunities of service not only at Yogaville but with interfaith groups and organizations outside Yogaville. She is a well-loved, respected and sought as a heartfelt interfaith wedding officiant in Virginia and beyond.
She loves the householder path.
She continues to be inspired by the teachings of Sri Gurudev, and his personal guidance. Yogaville® is a heaven on earth to her and she feels blessed to live here. Rev. Bhavani’s goal is to live a life dedicated to service, expressing compassion and love and realizing peace and joy in every moment.

A practice dating back thousands of years, that uses mantras to create pictures. It is a form of Bhakti Yoga, the path of Divine love and connection with a Higher Source. The practice engages all the senses; when one writes the mantra, the eyes see it, the hands feel the pen, and the mind is filled with devotion for the Divine.
