SUMMARY:Exploring the Five Koshas and the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine: Continuing Education Workshop for IYI Teachers
DESCRIPTION:**This workshop is for certified Integral Yoga Teachers only** \nTruth Is One\, Paths Are Many\nExploring the Five Koshas and the Five Elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine \nInspired by the Integral Yoga understanding that truth can be approached through many paths\, this workshop will explore connections between the Pancha Maya Kosha from yogic philosophy and the Five Element framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The session will include a short lecture\, meridian-inspired stretching\, and a guided Yoga Nidra practice through the five koshas. \nFor ten years\, Snow taught Five Element Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences in New York\, and she enjoys sharing this perspective in ways that support yoga practice and teaching. \nThis is a virtual workshop\, taking place online. Registration is free for Integral Yoga Active teachers and $54 for Inactive Teachers.

SUMMARY:Yin Yoga and Tibetan Bowls: Resonate with Stillness
DESCRIPTION:Yin Yoga benefits connective tissue because postures are held\, creating stillness in the mind\, body\, and spirit. That stillness can allow vibrations\, energy\, and prana (life force) to resonate within. During this workshop the healing vibrations of the Tibetan singing bowls\, played by master sound healer Rev. Laksmi\, will allow you to explore the powerful effects of Yin Yoga\, taught by longtime teacher Kitty. Together we will create a space where the body\, mind\, and spirit are renewed and revitalized. \nThis is an in-person workshop\, taking place at the Integral Yoga Institute.\nIncludes Yoga: All Levels

SUMMARY:TRE® (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises)
DESCRIPTION:TRE is a simple\, gentle\, and profound technique that facilitates the lengthening and relaxation of the psoas muscle and the release of physical and emotional tension and stress. The TRE exercises mildly tire the legs\, triggering an involuntary shaking and trembling response\, which begins in the legs and often spreads throughout the body. This natural response is the nervous system’s way of discharging long-held tension and unconscious body contraction\, caused by everyday stress and traumatic life experiences\, in order to restore the body to wholeness. \nTRE was developed by Dr. David Berceli\, a bioenergetic therapist and social worker\, who used it successfully worldwide working with soldiers\, firefighters\, police officers and survivors of war\, natural disasters and other traumatic circumstances to help alleviate the many symptoms of post-traumatic stress. TRE is taught in over 60 countries worldwide. \nReported benefits of TRE® include:\n\ndecreasing anxiety\nreleasing chronic tension\ndischarging emotional and physical trauma\nincreasing energy and flexibility\nimproving sleep and mood\ndecreasing of aches\, pains and symptoms of fibromyalgia and sciatica\n\nThis workshop is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as the exercises can be modified to accommodate anybody’s need. \nFor more information about TRE please visit TREcalifornia.com. If you have any questions or concerns please contact maria@TREcalifornia.com. \nThis workshop takes place 11am–1pm Eastern (8–10am Pacific) \nThis is an online program.
