Yoga Nidra: Awakening Through Deep Rest
Program Description
Yoga Nidra: Awakening Through Deep Rest
Based on the teachings from Yoga Nidra by Sri Satyananda Saraswati, this 45-minute session offers a systematic approach to deep relaxation, supporting profound rest on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. The session begins with a brief introduction to Yoga Nidra, inviting participants to set a personal intention or resolve—something positive they wish to cultivate, such as patience, acceptance, or peace.
This is followed by a 30-minute guided Yoga Nidra practice. Participants will:
- Be gently guided to focus on different parts of the physical body.
- Practice systematic breathing with awareness and counting to enhance mindfulness.
- Engage in a short, guided visualization to deepen the state of relaxation and connection.
The practice concludes with a return to full awareness, repeating the personal resolve to integrate its positive energy into daily life. This session is designed for all levels and encourages participants to remain still, awake, and fully present throughout the experience.A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Covenant House NY, extending the spirit of healing and support to those in need.
This is an in-person offering.
We recommend dressing comfortably for the session.
