Join us for a joyful evening of community, laughter, and reflection at our next Community Movie Night on Saturday, September 13, from 7:00โ€“9:30 PM.
After our previous deep dive into The Matrix, weโ€™re lightening the mood with the heartwarming and high-spirited film The School of Rock. While on the surface itโ€™s a comedy about music and misfits, at its core, this film beautifully echoes Yogic themes of authenticity, purpose, and the liberating power of creative expression.
As Roger Ebert wrote, โ€œItโ€™s not only a funny and clever film, but it has a good heart, and delivers a serious message wrapped in comedy: Donโ€™t let the world silence your song.โ€ Weโ€™ll enjoy popcorn, drinks, and a short group reflection afterward.

Swami Asokananda, a monk since 1973, is one of Integral Yoga’s foremost teachers, known for his warmth, intelligence, and good humor. His teaching comes out of his own practice and experience, since he has absorbed the wisdom of his guru, Sri Swami Satchidananda, since the age of 19.
