SUMMARY:The Bhagavad Gita in Daily Life
DESCRIPTION:The Bhagavad Gita\, a foundational scripture of Yoga\, provides guidance for facing the everyday challenges of modern life. Its message is that Self-realization is achieved through skillful living in the world\, not by retreating from it. We will draw from the Gita practical lessons of how our current challenges can be leveraged to unleash our inner strength and cultivate clarity and peace. \nWhether you’re new to the Gita or returning with fresh eyes\, this group offers a welcoming space to deepen your relationship with yogic wisdom and discover how its timeless guidance can help you live with more purpose\, peace\, and strength. \nSwami Asokananda draws from years of dedicated practice and personal experience to make this ancient scripture accessible\, relevant\, and transformational. \nMahatma Gandhi: “When doubts haunt me\, when disappointments stare me in the face\, and I see not one ray of hope on the horizon\, I turn to the Bhagavad Gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meaning from it every day. \n**This is an online series. Join one session or join all! Each week requires separate registration.**

SUMMARY:Ayurveda\, Integral Yoga\, and the Art of Daily Life
DESCRIPTION:For many practitioners\, yoga provides a sanctuary of peace\, clarity\, and balance. But what happens during the other twenty-three hours of the day? Ayurveda teaches that your daily choices—from how you begin your morning to how you eat\, work\, rest\, and sleep—profoundly influence the effectiveness of your yoga practice and your capacity for health\, longevity\, and spiritual growth. \nIn this workshop\, we’ll explore the Ayurvedic principles of dinacharya\, or daily rhythm\, and discover how simple\, intentional practices create the foundation for resilience\, vitality\, and inner steadiness. Rather than adding more to your to-do list\, Ayurveda invites you to live with greater awareness and alignment\, allowing your entire day to become an extension of your yoga practice. \nTogether we’ll explore:\n\nWhy daily rhythm is considered one of Ayurveda’s greatest medicines\nHow simple lifestyle practices strengthen digestion (agni)\, energy\, and resilience\nThe relationship between routine\, nervous system regulation\, and longevity\nPractical ways to carry the benefits of your yoga practice into everyday life\n\nThis workshop is part of Yoga Beyond the Mat: Living the Wisdom of Ayurveda\, a three-part workshop series in October\, November\, and December\, with Cory Tixier\, AD\, AYT\, LMT. Each workshop is designed to stand on its own—join us for one\, two\, or all three. Separate registration is required for each workshop. \nRegistered participants will receive a curated selection of optional resources to explore before the workshop\, offering an opportunity to deepen their familiarity with the themes we’ll be discussing. \nContinuing Education: Participants can apply 2.5 hours toward Yoga Alliance teacher credits. \nThis is an online program.

SUMMARY:Understanding Yoga Through the Lens of Ayurveda
DESCRIPTION:Ayurveda provides a remarkable framework for understanding the deeper effects of Hatha Yoga\, allowing you to practice with greater intention rather than simply moving through a sequence. Different postures\, breathing techniques\, meditation practices\, and relaxation methods each influence the body and mind in unique ways\, with distinct effects on the doshas\, digestion\, vitality\, and nervous system. \nThis workshop is designed to help experienced yoga practitioners deepen your understanding of the practices you already know and love. Together we’ll explore how to recognize the qualities of different yogic techniques and thoughtfully adapt them according to your constitution\, season\, stage of life\, and ever-changing state of balance. \nRather than asking\, “What should I practice?” we’ll begin asking\, “What does my body and mind need today?” \nTogether we’ll explore: \n\nHow asana\, pranayama\, meditation\, and relaxation influence the doshas\nThe Ayurvedic effects of yoga on agni\, ojas\, vitality\, and the nervous system\nAdapting practice for constitution\, imbalance\, and the changing seasons\nDeveloping a more therapeutic\, responsive\, and individualized yoga practice\n\nThis workshop is part of Yoga Beyond the Mat: Living the Wisdom of Ayurveda\, a three-part workshop series with Cory Tixier\, AD\, AYT\, LMT. \nThis is an online program

SUMMARY:Satsang: Inspiration for the Spiritual Journey
DESCRIPTION:Join us for this heartfelt and inspiring session\, where two senior and widely respected Integral Yoga swamis\, Swamis Ramananda and Asokananda\, will reflect on the teachings and practices that have sustained them over the years. They will also share what continues to inspire and renew their dedication to the path today. \nThe spiritual journey is filled with challenges\, and progress can often feel slow or uncertain. Along the way\, we benefit deeply from the support of fellow travelers\, those who have walked this path before us\, who generously share their experience\, and who care enough to walk beside us. \nPlease bring your heartfelt questions. At least half of the session will be dedicated to Q&A. All are welcome. \nSatsang is a special time for us to come together as a community. In Sanskrit\, Sat means truth and Sangha means community. Satsang offers an opportunity to come together to share spiritual teachings. The philosophy of Integral Yoga is explored often through an informal discussion. Although our spiritual paths may diverge\, the act of sharing spiritual teachings with others is inspiring and creates a solid foundation for continued practice. \nEnroll for free\, use promo code: FREE \n**This is an in-person and online program.**

SUMMARY:TRE® (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises)
DESCRIPTION:TRE is a simple\, gentle\, and profound technique that facilitates the lengthening and relaxation of the psoas muscle and the release of physical and emotional tension and stress. The TRE exercises mildly tire the legs\, triggering an involuntary shaking and trembling response\, which begins in the legs and often spreads throughout the body. This natural response is the nervous system’s way of discharging long-held tension and unconscious body contraction\, caused by everyday stress and traumatic life experiences\, in order to restore the body to wholeness. \nTRE was developed by Dr. David Berceli\, a bioenergetic therapist and social worker\, who used it successfully worldwide working with soldiers\, firefighters\, police officers and survivors of war\, natural disasters and other traumatic circumstances to help alleviate the many symptoms of post-traumatic stress. TRE is taught in over 60 countries worldwide. \nReported benefits include:\n● decreasing anxiety\n● releasing chronic tension\n● discharging emotional and physical trauma\n● increasing energy and flexibility\n● improving sleep and mood\n● decreasing of aches\, pains and symptoms of fibromyalgia and sciatica \nThis workshop is suitable for all ages and fitness levels as the exercises can be modified to accommodate anybody’s need. \nFor more information about TRE please visit https://www.TREcalifornia.com. If you have any questions or concerns please contact maria@TREcalifornia.com. \nThis workshop takes place 11am–1pm Eastern (8–10am Pacific) \nThis is an online program.

SUMMARY:Yoga & Ayurveda: One Tradition\, Two Expressions of Wisdom
DESCRIPTION:Yoga and Ayurveda have never been separate disciplines. They arose from the same Vedic tradition\, share the same philosophical foundations\, and ultimately guide us toward the same goal: reducing suffering and realizing our highest nature. As sister sciences\, they offer complementary expressions of this shared wisdom. Explore their foundations\, their connection within the Integral Yoga lineage\, and the wider family of Vedic sciences\, while deepening your appreciation for the wisdom already woven into your yoga practice. \nFor students of Integral Yoga\, this connection is especially meaningful. Swami Satchidananda received his training from Swami Sivananda\, who was not only one of the great yoga masters of modern times\, but also a trained physician with a deep commitment to Ayurveda. Understanding this lineage helps us appreciate that caring for the body\, cultivating the mind\, and pursuing spiritual realization were never intended to be separate paths—they are complementary expressions of a single tradition. \nTogether we’ll explore the shared roots of Yoga and Ayurveda\, discover how these sister sciences naturally support one another\, and briefly introduce the broader family of Vedic sciences\, including Jyotisha and Vastu\, to better understand the holistic worldview from which they emerged. \nWhether you’ve practiced yoga for decades or are newer to the tradition\, this workshop offers a richer appreciation for the wisdom that has always been woven into your practice. \nTogether we’ll explore: \n\nThe shared philosophical foundations of Yoga and Ayurveda\nThe significance of the Integral Yoga lineage and Swami Satchidananda’s connection to Ayurveda through Swami Sivananda\nHow Yoga and Ayurveda support one another in cultivating health\, balance\, and spiritual growth\nAn introduction to the broader Vedic sciences and their unified vision of human flourishing\n\nContinuing Education: Participants can apply 2.5 hours toward Yoga Alliance teacher credits. \nThis is an online program.
